How to create FTP accounts for your domain through Helm 4

Creating FTP user accounts in version 4 of the HELM Control Panel is quite similar to setting up FTP accounts in version 3. This article will walk you through the process of creating an FTP user on a domain and assigning a default path.

Once logged into HELM as ADMIN, click the link for My Domains.

Click the domain you would like to create the FTP account for.

Click the icon which says FTP Accounts.

Click the Add button in the upper-left hand corner of the window.

Enter the desired username and password for the FTP account you are creating. Then, set the permissions by clicking the folder icon next to the Path field, and choosing whether you want the user to have read and/or write permissions for the directory.

When finished, click Save in the bottom right-hand corner of the window..

You will now see the FTP account listed. You can access the domain via a client FTP program, or by navigating to ‘ftp.yourdomain.com’ in a browser window.
