How to create a new domain through version 4 of the Helm Control Panel

Creating a new domain through the Helm 4 Control Panel is quite a simple process, and works seamlessly with both versions 6.0 and 7.0 of Internet Information Services Manager.

Once logged into the Helm Control Panel as Admin, click the link on the main page which says My Domains.

You should now see a list of all currently active domains. Click the link in the upper-left hand corner of the window which says Create Domain.

Enter the name of your domain, excluding the ‘www’, but including the particular extension for that domain, such as ‘.com’ or ‘.net’. Click the drop-down arrow next to the Type heading, and choose the option for Parked. Leave the option for Plan Template set as Default Plan Template. Once the information is entered, click Next.

Next, Helm will ask you to confirm the domain settings. Click Save.

You will now seethe newly created domain among the list of active domains, except the status is set as Parked, which now needs to be changed to Active. Click on the domain name to change this setting.

Click on the drop-down menu under the Status heading, and choose the option for Active Domain, and then click Save.

Click OK to confirm the activation of the domain.

The domain is now active, and you will now be given a list of options for configuration of the domain, such as adding email accounts, FTP accounts, domain aliases, and sub domains.
