How to set Customer Error Pages for your domain through Helm 4

Setting Custom Error Pages for your domain in Helm 4 is quite easy, and can be accomplished in a few simple steps.

Log in to Helm as ‘Admin’, and click the link for My Domains.

Click on the domain you’d like to create the Custom Error Page for. For this example, we will use ‘test-domain.com’.

Click the Custom Error Pages icon.

Click on the type of error page you would like to set as customer. For this article, we will select 404 (Not Found).

In the Type drop down box, you will have the option of loading the Custom Error Page from a file or URL. For this article, we will select it from a URL.

Once selected, enter the local URL for the error page. By default, the location ‘\’ is pointed to the ‘C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\test-domain.com\wwwroot’ directory. We have placed a file in the root directory named, ‘custom404.htm’. Once set, click Save.

You should now the see the path for the Custom Error Page, and all instances of the user navigating to a non-existent page within that domain will now be redirected to the Custom Error Message.
