Kadence has been around for years and is a firm favorite of ours. It’s fast, customizable and has grown from a basic theme into a complete website builder, now with AI.

Demo templates are all pretty good, if on the serious side. They are compatible with Elementor, Beaver Builder and the block editor and can deliver a professional look in no time.

Kadence has a lot to recommend it, including:

Colormag is a magazine theme that showcases exactly what a typically content-heavy page can be. It’s well-designed, well-structured and well worth checking out.

There are 17 demos in all and each looks slightly different even though they are structured very similarly. Each can be infinitely customized to suit your needs.

We like Colormag because:

• Good demo designs — There’s only so much you can do with a magazine layout and Colormag does them all.
• Page builder support — It’s compatible with Elementor, Beaver Builder, Brizy, SiteOrigin and the block editor.

• Smart categorization features — Colormag has a unique categorization system that helps manage when and where content is displayed on your site.

Aquentro is a real estate theme with a multitude of uses. We don’t usually favor this type of theme as they are limited, but this one stands out.

The design is very contemporary and stands out for all the right reasons. There’s a search and filter section, attractive property pages and a modern appeal that’s sure to engage.

What’s Good About Aquentro?

There’s a lot to like about Aquentro, including:

• Contemporary design — Property and vacations are aspirational purchases so a website needs to work with that. Aquentro does.
• Built using Elementor — The theme has been built with Elementor so is 100% compatible. It also uses Jetpack to deliver some of its many features.
• Feature-packed — The theme includes tools for seasonal pricing, online booking and payment, a calendar, tax arrangements, search, filters, email and discounts.
• Booking app available — The theme comes with the option to use a mobile app to manage bookings and handle rentals while on the move.
• Works with Airbnb and other OTAs — If you want to rent a property using Airbnb or other online travel agent, Aquentro can help.

While Aquentro is designed for single property rentals, it could easily be configured for much larger operations.

Aquentro is a standout theme design for a very narrow niche but it delivers on everything you would hope to see. There’s very little to fault here!

Neve is a flexible, beginner-friendly WordPress theme. It works beautifully with Elementor and makes it easy to create custom layouts for your website.

Demos are basic but provide all the tools you need to make them unique along with an ease of use you’ll appreciate.

What’s Good About Neve?

Neve has lots to recommend it, including:

Neve is a lightweight, fully responsive theme which will help you to build a fast loading website for any purpose.

Pros:

• Very easy to use and to customize
• Works with Elementor, Beaver Builder and the block editor
• Elementor Booster module adds extra useful features
• Similar global color palette to Astra
• Includes content restriction tools

We like Neve a lot. We think it’s an excellent foundation from which to build something amazing. The templates are useful but it’s a shame it costs so much to use them.

Page Builder Framework is a lightweight, easy to customize theme for WordPress page builders like Elementor and Beaver Builder.

It doesn’t give you readymade templates but it does include the tools you need to deliver unique websites.

What’s Good About Page Builder Framework?

Page Builder Framework comes with a lot of features, including:

• Lots of customization options — A single theme with all the building tools you could need.
• Made for page builders — Page Builder Framework, as the name suggests, is compatible with Elementor and other page builders.
• WooCommerce integration — Seamlessly integrates with WooCommerce and offers a lot of customization options.
• Translation ready — The theme is translation ready and compatible with WPML and other translation plugins.
• 100% mobile responsive — The framework is 100% mobile-responsive which means your website will look great on every device.

Page Builder Framework is also fast and delivers impressive load times even before you optimize it.

Cons:

We put the lack of readymade templates as a con but it’s not really. Page Builder Framework is designed for those who like to build and we commend it for that.

Phlox is another worthy entrant into our list of best Elementor themes. It comes with 245 premium templates and all the building blocks you could need.

The free version has plenty to offer but we think premium is worth paying for as it opens up some pretty good templates.

Some of the best features of this theme include:

• Templates for Elementor — 245 Elementor templates covering most niches.
• Premium elements for Elementor — 160+ premium elements for Elementor including some very useful blocks.
• Page builder compatibility — Compatible with other page builders like WPBakery and Visual Composer.

• Element inspector — Check out everything on the page with a smart element inspector widget.

There’s a lot on offer with Phlox and those demos are pretty good too.

Phlox is a feature-packed WordPress theme with a lot to offer. We like the templates and the extra Elementor tools, and there are a lot of WooCommerce options, which is why it’s in this list.

The Royal Elementor Kit Theme may be quite a mouthful, but it’s also a feast for the eyes too. It’s a theme that accompanies a premium Elementor widget kit.

The templates are built using the kit but you don’t need to pay for the kit to use the templates. It’s all a bit complicated but the theme itself is very good, which is why it’s in our best Elementor themes list.

What’s Good About the Royal Elementor Kit Theme?

Highlights of the Royal Elementor Kit Theme include:

• Free theme — The theme is free to download and use but there are premium demos too that can be purchased alongside the kit.
• Built for and with Elementor — You can’t get more compatible than a theme built with the page builder you’re planning to use.
• Good template designs — Even the free templates look good. The premium versions are the best, but all can be customized to fit your needs.
• Well-priced premium version — The premium package starts at a reasonable price considering how much you get.
• Extensive range of extra widgets — As this is a widget package with theme attached, you get a lot of blocks and widgets to play with.

We think the Royal Elementor Kit Theme is a great option for those looking for something slightly different.

• Good looking templates covering many industries
• Comes with an extensive range of Elementor widgets
• Free and premium versions of the kit and theme
• Lots of customization options within the theme
• Lots of WooCommerce widgets as part of the package

• Not always clear which templates are free and which are premium

We think Royal Elementor Kit Theme is a great option whether you go for the free theme or the premium widget kit and theme.

Potenza is a single page business theme that’s fully compatible with Elementor as well as Beaver Builder and Divi.

We like Potenza because of its potential. You don’t often get many single page business templates and this is one of the better ones. It has good design and some excellent ideas, which is why it’s in this list.

What’s Good About Potenza?

Some standout features of Potenza include:

• Elementor compatibility — Potenza is fully compatible with Elementor, as you would hope from a list of best Elementor themes!
• Fast page load times — While not as fast as Astra in our testing, Potenza loads impressively quickly.
• Compatibility with WordPress plugins — Compatible with HubSpot CRM, Toolset, WPML, Yoast SEO, OptinMonster, WPForms and others.
• Fully responsive — Being fully responsive is a must but some themes do it better than others. This is one of those themes.
• Compatible with WooCommerce — Want to sell from your one page website? Potenza is fully compatible with WooCommerce.

Potenza is here because it’s one of the best one page business themes we know of. It’s also easy to use, which is a definite bonus.

Potenza is here because it’s a rock-solid theme with clean code, decent performance and plenty of options. You’ll need to work a little to get the best out of it, but it’s worth it.

Public Opinion is a magazine-style design ideal for newspapers, magazines, news websites and content-driven websites. The default design is great, but could be so much more.

It’s an old but classic design with a flexible layout, ideal for businesses or individuals looking for a clean, organized page.

Highlights of Public Opinion include:

• Elementor compatibility — As Public Opinion is in this list, it’s definitely compatible with Elementor but also with the WordPress block editor.
• Different layout types — Magazine themes use category layouts to create engagement so it’s nice to be able to control how your site looks.

We think Public Opinion is an oldie but goodie. We don’t very often feature such established themes, but when we do it’s for good reason.

Deep is one of the best free Elementor themes around after Astra. It has an excellent design and lots of features, which is why it’s in our list.

Deep has some nice demo templates covering many niches. Each uses modern aesthetics to generate real appeal and stands out for all the right reasons.

• It’s free — You would never know it was free until you checked.
• Elementor compatibility – Deep is compatible with Elementor, Divi Builder and Visual Composer.

Yes, Elementor does need a theme. It’s a drag and drop page builder, not a theme. You can build a theme from scratch using it but it doesn’t have themes of its own. That’s why we create listicles like this, so you can choose the best theme to use.

Yes, you can sort of edit any theme with Elementor. Most WordPress themes can be edited with Elementor but if they aren’t built to be compatible with it, you won’t get the full control you would with a compliant theme.

The best blank Elementor theme is the Hello theme. It’s not exactly blank but it’s a minimal theme you can use as a foundation and build your very own website from it. Astra Starter Templates also provide a solid foundation you can customize but they aren’t blank.

The fastest loading Elementor theme is Astra and Hello. Hello loads faster but isn’t a ‘full’ theme. Astra loads fractionally slower, but is a full theme with pages, content, forms and everything a website needs.

Elementor is great, but there are better options. It’s a powerhouse of a page builder but it can slow down performance. Alternatives include Spectra, divi Builder, Brizy, Beaver Builder and the WordPress site editor. All can deliver a full website with minimal effort.
